| ABOUT US Mike Fletcher - Mountain Leader, MLTB. Over 30 years of walking experience in the Lake District, Wales, Peak District and Scotland. Previously based near to the Peak District and now living and working from Tomintoul. Challenges undertaken:- numerous challenge/ fund raising groups on peaks such as Snowdon and Scafell Pike, The Oxfam Everest Challenge, National Three Peaks, Lake District Three Peaks, The West Highland Way, The Lyke Wake Walk, shortly to do the Great Glen Way. Mike spent many years instructing in Outdoor Education and particularly in the teaching of survival techniques. At present he is very regularly out in the mountains, all across Scotland, with an emphasis on the Munros. From March to October Mike guides groups throughout Scotland. Guiding work is done for a local hotel and for private clients. Mike began the Tomintoul and Glenlivet Walking Festival in 2009. Roy Hill - Roy has lived in Tomintoul for more than 5 years and previously lived in the Lake District. He has completed the Wainwright's and the Welsh 3,000'ers. Roy has walked in the Himalayas, Austria, Majorca and Italy. In the UK he has completed the Coast to Coast, The Lyke Wake Walk, The White Rose, Hambleton Hobble and the Lairig Ghru. At present he is very regularly out in the mountains throughout Scotland, completing an increasing number of the Munros. Roy will be guiding at the Tomintoul and Glenlivet Walking Festival and walking the Great Glen Way in 2009. He and Mike are out walking together on a weekly basis throughout the year. |
